PEOPLE:

DAVID ZUCKERMAN

David Zuckerman is a writer and Executive Producer on FOX’s primetime animated series “American Dad.”  Prior to the series, Zuckerman established himself as one of the top comedy writers on television.  In 1999, he co-developed (with Seth MacFarlane) and was Executive Producer for the primetime animated show “Family Guy.”   The show was cancelled after two seasons but was then released on DVD and played in syndicated reruns on cable’s Cartoon Network, becoming a cult hit.  Based on this success, “Family Guy” was resurrected by its original network, FOX, and, in an unprecedented move, returned to the air three years after its cancellation.  It remains on FOX’s Sunday night schedule, along with “King of the Hill,” another animated show for which Zuckerman was a Co-Executive Producer.  He wrote and produced “King of the Hill” for four seasons, during which time it won an Emmy for Best Animated Program.

Zuckerman’s writing career began on the hit NBC sitcom “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” which starred Will Smith.  He also created an Internet show called “Meet The Millers,” which is available on Icebox.com.  Born and raised in Northern California, Zuckerman is a graduate of UCLA.
